Karina Pearse LaMalfa,
Wellness in New Jersey
To truly get from where you are now to where you want to be, you need a team of experts guiding you along the way. As a wellness professional in New Jersey for the past 18 years, Karina joined Ethos Health in 2015 and serves as a Lifestyle Coach and Plant-based Chef. She is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, and a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Karina holds professional certifications from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, Dr. Neal Barnard’s Food-for-Life Program, and the Rouxbe Plant-Based Culinary School.
Prior to joining Ethos, Karina trained as a Healthy Eating Specialist at Whole Foods Market, where she worked to establish wellness programs for customers, local schools, urban schools, and corporations.
Karina’s interest in wellness began more than 25 years ago when her second son was born. At that time, Karina began researching food as medicine to help her family resolve severe asthma and food sensitivities. Over the years, she increasingly added whole, plant-based foods to her family’s diet. Karina was inspired by "food as medicine" and the ability to swiftly and effectively change one’s health through lifestyle factors alone. She looks forward to working with you to create a wellness plan that optimizes key health indicators, supports mental and physical well-being, and empowers sustainable change.
